Welcome to my landing page. I'm Michal, a software engineer with years of experience building production backend systems. I work mostly with Java, Spring Boot, relational databases, AWS, and distributed systems.
I worked on several projects where I had a significant impact on the system architecture, design, and delivery. I took ownership of backend systems, some serving millions of users, with hands-on responsibility across system design, feature delivery, testing, debugging, reliability, and maintainability.
I care about boring reliability, clear ownership, and code that survives production.
Across multiple roles, I have worked on backend systems spanning distributed architectures, identity and authentication, persistence, third-party integrations, and cloud-native delivery.
The common thread has been ownership — not just writing the feature, but caring about how it behaves in production: how it fails, how it is observed, how it is tested, and how the next engineer reads it.
