Backend software development engineer, mainly focused on and interested in Java, web frameworks and open source. With years of backend development experience on existing and green-field projects where I was either following the design or designing the solution based on customer requirements.
Across multiple roles, I have worked on backend systems spanning distributed architectures, identity and authentication, persistence, third-party integrations, and cloud-native delivery. Some of these were mature platforms with established conventions where my role was to extend, harden, and operate them; others were green-field projects where I had a hand in shaping the design from customer requirements all the way down to data model and deployment.
The common thread has been ownership — not just writing the feature, but caring about how it behaves in production: how it fails, how it's observed, how it's tested, how the next engineer reads it. I care about controlled complexity, predictable systems, and code that survives reality.
